I have a meeting
(oh, and note to Lou Wolff: Oakland has a downtown.World Series parades have been celebrated there four times. So your comment to Fosse during Thursday's game as you got up that you don't know where you'd have a victory parade betrays at the very least some ignorance about the city of Oakland...)

Lew Wolff doesn't care about Oakland
Lew's thinking: Los Angeles doesn't have a downtown.

'72, '73 and '74 there were parades down broadway in downtown oakland. in 1989 i dont think they had a parade because of the earthquake but i do believe there was a celebration rally at jack london square.

Good thing it starts at 5 pm
Thanks, MLB, for putting us in oblivion for the playoffs. 10 AM Tuesday, 10 AM Wednesday, 1 PM Friday. It would be much better if they just played later in the day, even if it meant having 2 or 3 games going on at the same time.

So I guess instead your employer gets
Same here. If I'm still employed by this time next week it'll only be because of inertia.
