This year was pretty sweet. It feels better than, say, 2003, cuz it's been 3 years since we've been. Plus, I think this team, if the starting pitching comes back, has a real good chance in the playoffs; at full health we're as good as anyone out there. I've been a hardcore fan since I was six and they lost the World Series in 1988, and while I expected this before the season, it still feels very good. I can't wait til Tuesday!

I'm glad the Mariners won last night.  We were playing to clinch, and they salvaged some pride.  Had we clinched last night, and they won tonight, it would have been a hollow victory.

He talked about how when he doesn't do well he can't sleep, because he loves his teammates and he wants to give his best all the time. Ah, Labor Day weekend
with a bunch of friends and our S.O.'s in Tahoe, the streak hype was at its peak so even casual fans were glued. Cut the day short a little to get back to the cabin to watch. Tejada is up, such a confident look in his eye, he swung and connected, I jumped up immediately yelling he did it, ball sails over the fence in left center. Everyone asked me how I knew since I never jump up until the outfielders give up. I guess could just tell by the swing and the moment. Then I made everyone wait to leave the next day until he came through with the walk off single. Good times.

Am in the Raj Hotel in Sri Lanka, listening to the A's radio on MLB GameDay.  I should be doing some engineering work, which is what brought me from Petaluma to Sri Lanka, but I can get to that later, time to celebrate now.

I have my tickets for Post Season, Row 1 Section 128, first row behind the A's Bull Pen bench, but my wife will have to find another A's fan to take them, as i will not be back in the Bay Area until Sunday Oct 8th.  They just better get out of the first round this year, so I can see some Post Season Games.

What a great feeling!!!
It seems like forever, but what a great night!! I liked that the Mariners had "Congratulations to the Oakland Athletics, 2006 AL West Champions" on their scoreboard after the game.
I think my favorite part of the celebration, or pre-celebration, was all you ANers that were on your feet and cheering in Seattle when the Angels score was posted. Loving it!!

I can't get in to the Youtube video here at work.  Just a question, is the Youtube video, the Bay FSN footage from the clubhouse?  And if not, does anyone have a link to the clubhouse video?  MLB is only audio interviews.

I love my team
We are so spoiled to be semi-successful, year in and year out. Just think what it would be like to be a KC Royals fan!!!! God I hope we get out of the first round this year!!! Let's Go De-troit! Please don't make us have to go to the Twinkie-dom this year!!!
