I am on the verge of tears. I have never felt so helpless and lonely in the world. I don't understand how something so obvious to me can't be obvious to anyone who knows baseball.
I don't care what happened last night. Don't care at all. Glad that it happened in regular season because Street got the kinks out and will be OK playoff time.
No, I'm referring to coming home, turning on the TV and seeing Oakland A's highlights, but they are in a funny color. It's from the 70s and it's Reggie Jackson. The winner of the hometown hero.
How can he get that? How can Rickey not get it?
Does anyone believe that Rickey is going into the HOF WITHOUT an A's hat on?
I'm hurt and again on the verge of tears. My heart is broken. I'm confused and don't really care about baseball right now.
WHO THE HELL VOTED FOR REGGIE?
OK, well, I'm 32 years old and was born in 74, so I am a little biased, but COME ON, Reggie? I guess he was great, but better than Rickey? Really? Hometown hero?
Can someone please justify this to me? Did Yankee fans pull an All-Star vote on the internet and stuff it with Reggie votes just so they can have more Yanks as heroes?
Or is Reggie really the right vote?
I will not watch the game tonight unless this has been put to rest. I have no faith in anything anymore...
by the way, the eyes really watered when I saw the flight of a homer and could see the Oakland hills in the background. I miss going to games in Oakland, I really miss the Diamondvision in centerfield, OK, I guess I miss my childhood.
OK, now I'm crying. Go Oakland.
