This is *NOT* the DLD 9/18/2006 (Anymore)

On Pitchers and MVP; Also at the bottom, FT and the HOF:

Thomas was limited to 20 games in 2001 because of injury. And he hit just .252 in 2002 with 28 homers and 92 RBI -- paltry by his standards. There was a belief that he was a borderline Hall of Famer.

Twins have "Grit" and "Intangibles" not those "Moneyball A's"

But I love this quote:

Were they really "feel-good" stories, though? The Boston payroll is second only to the New York Yankees, year-in and year-out. The White Sox play in one of the biggest media markets in the country and have a payroll to match. Let's be honest, these teams aren't really underdogs -- they're underachievers.

Uh-oh. Two DLDs.
I suppose to be safe we should post the same comments in each one.

Thanks for those tickets yesterday!  My roommate and I had a blast, and I have completely lost my voice.

Okay...
Harden's starting on Thursday... it's a day game (no television in BA/STO on EI) Rich's last two starts were also day games.

Results:

06/04/06 - v. Twins: elbow injury - A's win 5-1
04/26/06 - @ Texas: oblique muscle detached from the bone/"back spasms" - A's win 6-4

Good news: The A's should win the game.
Bad news: Harden could die.

I'm just saying.

Something tells me Joe would not be cool with that.

9/18...those numbers sound familiar, but I just can't place them. Maybe it's someone's birthday.
