What a fun night!!

This adventure started at about 4pm, with a phone call from my sort of sister-in-law asking if I would be interested in seeing and hanging with Swish tonight.
He was going to be at the Pepsi plant hanging out, touring the facilities and signing autographs for the workers and their families, which her father just mentioned to her about 5 minutes before...  Crazy!!!! (memo to self, tell members of Pepsi management to keep us informed of player visits)

I was so incredibly excited I couldn't stand it... of course I said YES! then I thought, hmmm maybe I should check with my husband first... he fully supports my baseball obsession, so we were good to go...
Needless to say we couldn't get there fast enough ...

Star-divide

With getting stuff settled at home and traffic on 880 my S-I-L and I hit the road just after 8pm and got there just before he was walking out the door. We had just a few minutes with him, and we chatted up a storm, had a few laughs and even got a chance to see the September A's magazine layout with a feature article about him fighting off the "sophomore slump".
I have met and chatted with him on previous occasions and this time was no different.  Swish was all smiles, joking and laughing, genuinely having a good time with everyone he met, including us... Woo Hoo!!!!

This is only one reason I absolutely adore this team, all the players have a great attitude with the fans and seem to enjoy getting out and having fun....
We were able to get a few things signed, we wished him well, and then we walked out of Pepsi and into the parking lot together... We were the last 2 guests there, so before Swish and his group left we were given the new A's magazine, which was also signed and a farewell wink...
What a way to start a long weekend of baseball....

Lets Go Oakland!!!!

A's Baseball!! Good Times!!!

Fun!
Swish seems like a genuinely nice guy.  Thanks for sharing.

MUCH less scary now!
They're urban raccoons, and they're not afraid.
