from the previous thread...
isn't the alternative to scut Bocachica who's hitting like .340 in Sacto? Hell, swap Perez for Bocachica and see if Bocachica can break .240 in the majors.

by slyrus on Aug 1, 2006 9:06 PM PDT reply actions

I know that Perez can't
be optioned without passing through waivers, and I'm pretty sure Scutaro has the same issue.  So we'd have to lose one of them if wanted to call up Bocachica.

Rodriguez seems to be a strange beast
I only ever... ever see him going away, away, away, no matter if it's against a right or left handed hiter. It seems like any guy good enough to hit major league pitching could probably dive on the plate and hit some rickets to the opposite field if he wanted to. It's not like he doesn't ever come inside, but he hits the outer half with the fastball and throws the slider for a ball low and away so often that players should adjust to it. Eh?

What I find so ridiculous about krod is that:
He celebrates so much for a simple save.  I mean you would think it would be ok if he had just gotten out of a 2nd and 3rd no out jam, but for crying out loud.  He walked the leadoff guy, saves the game, and starts screaming into the air like he's some master saver guy.  Tough loss, but I didn't wanna see an Angels walk-off either..
