More on unicorns, err, uniforms

The idea of home whites/road gray or green tops has caught my attention of late. I went ahead and organized the past game's into a "uniform log" and pulled some data from it. For your off-day pleasure:

The spreadsheet that I created for the uniform data can be found here. The data headings include the date, home or away, opponent, uniform the A's wore and winning & losing pitchers (with W-L record at the time of that decision). It was created using M$ Office, so not sure if you can open it on your PDA/Linux/OSX or whatever, sorry in advance...

Overall record as of 8/9/2006: 62-52 .544

Home whites: 48 total W/L 27-21 .562
Road gray: 22 total W/L 13-9 .590
Home whites/road gray: 70 total W/L 40-30 .571
Green tops: 43 total W/L 21-22 .488
Retro green: 1 total W/L 1-0

OK, we know already, but what about that strange supersticion about swithching jerseys after a loss, how about after a win?

Switched to green tops following a LOSS wearing home whites/road gray: 12 total W/L 5-7
Switched to green tops following a WIN wearing home whites/road gray: 7 total W/L 3-4
Switched to home whites/road gray following a WIN wearing green tops: 7 total W/L 4-3

Taking things a step further (don't ask me why), let's look at HR's and their relation to uniforms:

Chavy sure likes the green tops (12HR vs. 3). White and gray seem to sap Chavvy's strength.

That's because those jerseys...

were made out of spinach, which gave him really large biceps (hence, all of the HRs).

But after he stopped wearing them he developed tendinitis in both of his forearms after Bluto pulled a switcheroo and gave him a forest green polyester jersey, instead.

Any comic book fans out there?

There were green and grey versions of The Incredible Hulk, though I can't remember why exactly. (Me do recall the grey Hulk being intelligent and eloquent.)
