i said the following yesterday: this is a good offense, and it will outscore all AL teams but NY, Bos and Tex the rest of the year.
So let's keep track, can we??
After one game, with KC and the Angels still in the midst of a 4-3 game:
Texas: 8 runs
Minnesota: 8 runs
OAKLAND: 7 runs
Every other team trails unless someone goes nuts in Anaheim in the next 15 minutes.
Tonight the offense came from:
Johnson, kielty, Kendall, Kotsay and Thomas.
It's starting to come from nearly everyone as these players move closer and closer to their career norms. Expect that process to continue-- except this offense to be in the upper half of the league-- actually, upper third-- for the rest of the season.
that.. plus defense.. plus a bullpen getting healthier (Duke nearly back)... plus most of a strong rotation.. means victory.
