I couldn't believe my own eyes!

Somewhere around the 3 or 4th inning, Swish was on first, and I think (I'm guessing, since he's hit a lot of 'em lately) Johnson hit a groundball back to first...but a slow dribbler kinda hit. The first play is to first, but it doesn't happen quick. Thome fires to 2nd, and catches Swisher basically walking to 2nd. double-play. rally killed.

Lacheman went out to give Swisher his glove, and I wonder if he said anything. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's things like not running something out. Swisher should've been screaming towards 2nd.

I love the guy, but this sort of lack of hustle, well, it just doesn't sit well for me. I don't know that you'll catch the play if you weren't there; not likely to be on any highlight reels, but man, to be losing like we were tonight, and watch someone basically walking to 2nd, assuming that it was an automatic DP...riles me.

here's hoping game 3 goes much better and the A's explode for 20 runs.
