Open Thread: Game 6 - A's at Seattle (cont.)

3-0 A's after 7 innings, as A's pitchers are looking for back-to-back shutouts, and Kotsay is pursuing an outside shot at the cycle (he has the HR and the triple, and he'll lead off the 8th, but can he get 2 more ABs?)...

LET'S GO A'S!

Let's hope not
Unless the A's bat around, I don't want Kots to get another AB.

How'd you feel watching Barry tonight, Nico??
If Harden's on tomorrow, the M's may go like 21 innings against our 3 starters with no runs and 5 hits.

Barry was FITZ tonight.
Most of the time anyway.

If he can keep this up, he'll be fine.

I didn't watch it
BECAUSE COMCAST DIDN'T SHOW IT, BECAUSE THEY SUCK MONEYBALLS, MONKEYBALLS, AND MONKEYBALL'S BALLS!!!!!!!!!!

But it sounds like he pitched great.

A Coors Light commercial I'd like to see
The "Silver Bullet Train" zips by a crowded subway station, everybody gets dusted with snow and is provided with a cool, cold, Coors Light in their hand, upon which everybody is arrested for drinking in public.

by the way, the new coors ad is a ripoff of the final scene from "the last days of disco" which also has people spontaneously dancing to love train both in a subway car and a station...

Just looked at the box score
This looks like Barry pitched a very good game this evening except for the fact that he only lasted 6.  However if he could pitch six shotout inning every time I'd take it.

Farewell, Dan Wilson!
Somehow we haven't discussed Wilson much, despite tonight's SafeCo festivities (unless I missed it in the first thread).  The Mariners' announcers are currently going on about him, but in oddly lukewarm ways.  He was "consistent." Always pleasant.  He helped pitchers gain confidence.

Any Dan Wilson memories?  Anybody?

So, does this mean...
we are going to lose the first and win the rest in the series now? I'd take it  lol

I seriously can't wait to see where this team is at the end of may. I don't think there will be that lag this season before they turn it on. This team is looking very, very good. Bradley is look like exactly what they needed last year and Kotsay is back as he was in the first couple months last year. Fun Fun Fun!

I can't wait for the Angels of The OC come to town. I will be there  >:)
