Interviews with 3 A's prospects

Brian Snyder, Ryan Webb and Brad Knox

http://as-future.blogspot.com

I'll include a piece so this post doesn't get pointlessly deleted, like last time

AF - Word was that the A's were impressed with how well you did in instructional league, how much do the A's let you know their feelings on your performance?

BS - I think the A's were impressed with playing although I know they were dissappointed in my wieght gain and how i was out of shape. They let you know if you are doing well or not. They are pretty open with letting you know where you stand.

Sorry I deleted your last one
But rules are rules.  300 character limit is there to make sure that people write something, not just post a link.

re
Well it says, maybe it shouldn't be a diary, but a comment...What exactly do you want me to comment on? Should I bring it up despite being irrelevant in any other thread?

Perhaps the Link Dump?

Maybe post a small portion of the
interview here to tease people to come over to the site and read it.  That makes a lot of sense.

What you just did
works too.  Post a preview of some of the content.

Great job blee as usual
I like the separate diary.  It would get lost in the link dump

by WaddellCanseco on Apr 5, 2006 4:44 PM PDT reply actions

Nothing ever gets lost in the link dump.
The key is to make some mention of Huston Street - then you'll get eighteen replies.
Don't you miss the days of martinis and greenies?

4 down, 14 to go.

They should put Huston's jersey number on his ass.
I <flips hair> can't stop staring at his ass long enough to ever catch his what number he wears. <sob>

He'd have to have a small number if we put it on his ass. We wouldn't want to make his delicious buns look too large with gigantic numbers like 99 and 248.

LOL
How do I compete with that :-)?  But this makes 6 down, 12 to go.

As Will Ferrell once said, "Huston Street IS THE GREATEST BAND EVER!"

The A's should start
selling candles that smell like Huston's ass. It would be a combination of roses, leather, cantaloupe, and Twizzlers.

Huston Street invented the Internet
Also, he can compute differential calculus in his head while thowing his new changeup.

I disagree.
Many of the links in the DLD get discussion, particulalry when the topic is an interesting or new one.  The ones that don't get discussion there likely wouldn't spark interesting discussion in their own diary, either.

OTOH, I don't see anything wrong with a separate diary for a set of interviews with broad appeal such as this, especially when the author is an ANer.  But if the entire story is a link, the link dump is a good place.  A teaser or introduction is a fine way to put the link into context.

BTW, nice interviews.
Are these conducted by email, phone, or in person?  How do you get the players to agree to an interview?

thanks bobby
I always try and check in with your site.

Good stuff.  I have big hopes for Ryan Webb, his emergence would really help the long term picture for the A's.  I look forward to seeing him in Stockton.

the image of "Boardroom Billy Beane"...
hovering over A's players both disturbs and delights me.  (In that order.)
I'm not sober.
