Guadin up, Kielty down (discuss) -- and Huston Street could pitch today if there's no pain while playing catch before today's game. Was his pectoral strain WBC related (discuss)?

Barry Zito likes SoCal. And he likes Arte Moreno. But really, he's not thinking about a possible future not in Oakland. I wish reporters would quit asking him questions about his future. I also wish Zito would quit answering them.

Forbes lists the A's as the fourth-least valuable franchise, worth only $234 million. I'm sure the A's would go for more on eBay. Meanwhile, MLB calls Forbes' analysis of its clubs a crock.

In the minors: Catcher Mike Massaro, hitting well at Class A Kane County, will be out 4-6 weeks after fracturing a bone in his left thumb while stealing a base Wednesday.

When Julio Franco homered on Thursday night he became the oldest player in MLB history to hit one out the park.

And the player he took the record from was Athletics pitcher Jack Quinn, who was 46 years, 357 days old when he homered on June 27th, 1930.

Harden as the "ace"

I know most of us around here talk about Rich as the true ace of this team, but I would assume most of the guys/coaches will refrain from saying that just out of respect for Barry. I thought this quote from Macha was interesting (and I don't do those crazy cool text boxes, sorry!):

"[Pitching coach] Curt [Young] said to me before the eighth, 'When you're an ace and the team takes the lead, you go back out there and throw a shutdown inning,'" Macha said. "And that's what Rich did."

Chavez referred to Harden...

As the "number one" and "ace" in the local newspaper today (Tribune, Review, Argus). He also said "Barry throws a lot of pitches..."

I know Chavez is infamous for foot-in-mouth statements, but I wish the team as a whole would stop talking about Zito as if he's already gone. Zito included.

have you noticed that he responds to questions from reporters for various different cities that he can visualize himself playing in those cities? He's already been quoted by various news sources as speaking favorably of playing in New York, Seattle and Los Angeles.

I'm so updated, i've seen Episode 19 of "Prison Break", despite the fact that it hasn't aired yet. THAT PLEASURES OF DOWNLOADING. THANK YOU BITCOMET. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I downloaded it because it was titled episode 18, turns out it was 19 :)

And since i always see "Lost" after you guys and read comments about it in the DLD by accident, it's time for payback. That up there was a little snippet from EP 19. :) Hehehe.

the show has been fantastic

I'm more hooked than Lost. There was a period a week ago where i watched like 8 episodes in a row. 19 airs on the 24th, i thought.

what you do is

Download and install BitComet. Then, in the program there is a tab labled "web". Click on that, then click one of the websites listed under. Those are torrent sites. You search "Lost" in the search, and there are links to different torrents. You download the torrent and start it under the "transfer" tab. Then it downloads. It's not non stop. Sometimes it goes, sometimes it doesnt. It also downloads at different speeds.

Make sure the episodes you choose to download are around 350 megabytes. Anything else is probably fake.
