Forbes lists the A's as the fourth-least valuable franchise, worth only $234 million. I'm sure the A's would go for more on eBay. Meanwhile, MLB calls Forbes' analysis of its clubs a crock.
In the minors: Catcher Mike Massaro, hitting well at Class A Kane County, will be out 4-6 weeks after fracturing a bone in his left thumb while stealing a base Wednesday.
