That's how I feel right now. No, it's not because the A's lost yesterday. I just found out the game is not available on EI. <sobs>
DAN MEYER UPDATE
Pitching against Tacoma last night, Meyer recorded this line: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 1 HR
He's getting better, it seems. Let's hope this continues.
In case anyone missed the link in the game thread: 'Sesame Street' among pregame viewing for youthful A's.Frank Thomas, a 16-year veteran, knew he was joining a young team when he signed a free-agent contract with the A's in the offseason.
Just how young was in evidence on the huge flat-screen TV at the back of the clubhouse Thursday morning before batting practice. The program being shown was "Sesame Street."None of the players seemed particularly glued to the show, but second baseman Mark Ellis had clearly been paying attention. Asked if he knew what the number of the day was, he immediately went into a spot-on impression of Count Von Count.
"Two. Ah-ah-ah," Ellis said. "He's been doing that since I was a kid."I heart this team. Even when they lose.
Sorry for the shortage of links. I don't really want to read about yesterday's game or how Street's arm fell off, but I can't live without a link dump.
