Lookind for a good deal on A's merchandise.

Hey, everyone. Im creating this diary because there's a new Oakland A's sweatshirt that I really wanna buy, but since I'm a college student money is tight. Anyways, I saw joe blanton wearing it during the last A's-Mariners game. Here's the link: http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2195615&cp=1452361.1452842

Just wondering if anybody saw it for a better price and any local shops. Also, feel free to post any other deals on A's merchandise that they might have found, maybe someone else will find it useful.

-Thx

$50 for a sweatshirt?
Sell back all your books now to buy it and remember when you take your exams that you may not have studied, but at least you are warm. ;)

Sperm Donor
Or become a surrogate or egg donor if you're female.
Green eyes come from yellow flecks of fatty pigment on a dark background. Some men think a green-eyed woman is exotic. The truth is she's got fat eyes.

Oh my god.
For a second I thought you said Joe MORGAN was wearing one, and I nearly blew my mind.

eBay
I bought the exact same Blantonian sweatshirt that you're looking for off of eBay for $22.  They're my best friend for A's related crap.

I agree
For unofficial stuff the AN stuff is ridiculously expensive. It is mindblowing to me that people will spend money on AN gear, when they could get real A's gear for less

AN a more exclusive club than A's
Anyone can get A's stuff; only the truly hep sport AN gear.  Really.  I look forward to folks seeing me in my Bill King shirt, saying "Hey, AN," hearing me say "AN, heck yeah, I'm FreeSeatUpgrade," and then hearing them say "Well shut the flock up already!"

Whether AN gear is too expensive...
...depends on your pocketbook and priorities, so I'm willing to grant that it is too expensive for YOU, but it is not more expensive than official A's gear.  The classic AN t-shirt is a big $14.50.  Most t-shirts run $20 (or more) at the Coliseum.  AN hoodies are $35, but you'll pay $50-70 for official A's hoodies.  You may be able to find exceptions to this rule (especially if you buy stuff on sale), but overall it is fair to say that AN gear is cheaper than official A's gear.

Regardless, I think most buy AN gear to show their membership in/support of AN, and they buy A's gear to demonstrate their love of the A's.  One complements, rather than replaces, the other.
