Anybody Tailgating for Opening Day?

I've heard of a few people that are planning on tailgating before the game but can't remember who they were.  I didn't know if any unofficial tailgate is being planned like we did last year here in Kansas City and will be doing again this year.

I'm flying in tomorrow morning and would love to meet some other members that might be enjoying some pregame festivities before the gates open.

Flank steam?
Wow, that must be the easiest way to lose weight ever.

Flank steak
I've always insisted that you can't mess up flank steak.  I guess I just messed it up.

I knew what you meant
I just thought it was funny because the typo actually spelled out something else rather than nonsense.

Halibut
Thats what I'm having for dinner tonight, no meat Friday.  Its actually FROM Alaska.  My sister in law lives in Juneau and her BF works on boats up there and mailed some fresh halibut down recently.

I'm going up to there next month, not sure what to expect, but im excited.

Beautifully set town, Juneau
You will enjoy it.

I am 200 miles south of there in Ketchikan.

Local baseball, kids, starting to practice  here...heartwarming to see the field lit up, with light rain and 37 degrees playing on fine gravel...no grass.

Alaska is very beautiful.
I have relatives in Seldovia. My Uncle and cousin are crab fisherman there.

Definitely
We'll be tailgating in the south lot along the lane that ends at the bottom of the Bart ramp. We'll figure out the menu this weekend, but beer is definitely on there!

I'll be in the same area
Carne Asada, Chicken, and MGD on the menu. I just learned, by calling the A's office, that The Hegenberger(South)lot gates open at 4:00, a half hour after the 66th lot gates.

I'd be more than happy to toss a few $$$
to somebody if they let me join their tailgate.  You will have a Yankee fan though as well since my dad is flying in from Colorado to meet me.

That's what I thought,...
...but the office told me different. I think they're conspiring to keep me from tailgating

Called again
I looked at the press release that says 2:30 and decided to call the office again. The same bitter sounding rude woman answered and said, "When they had a meeting they said 3:30, now media is telling you something different. I don't know then. You can just get there at 2:30 and see what happens." I'll be there at 1:00

so far it seems like most of the rain
will happen during the day...can we make some appropriate sacrifices to keep it from raining at night?
