A's commercials now on website.

Okay, I'm hoping that I'm ducking the diary police and not posting something that's already been reported. For those of you who haven't seen 'em yet, the first round of A's commercials are now up on the website. Just three of 'em so far.

The commercials definitely would have been better with Roy Steele providing the voiceovers, hopefully if they want to continue using that tactic in the midseason commercials, he'll be healthy enough to provide them.
The 'Holy Toledo' is just heartwarming. :-)

Joe Blanton is sexy.

That commerical made me feel icky.
The Thighmaster looks like something that could be used to assault Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames.

If you don't think Joe Blanton
on a thighmaster is sexy, there is something very wrong with you.

It's obvious the A's are trying to use his sex appeal to sell tickets.  It's no wonder opening day is already sold out...

Very lacking compared to last year's.
Still good, but I dont think they are in the same ballpark as the last couple year's.

Last couple years' commercials were more fun
This year's seem more mature and not as funny or playful, IMO.

Agree
The "announcers' voice, style is a little too, too, what?  kind of a turn off to listen to.

Is that Danny shaving in Goatee?
He looks gooooood. :D

And, HOORAY! I love new A's commercials!

I like Goatee.
These three didn't impress me much compared to the previous years', but damn... that commercial was HOT. Definitely for the ladies. :-)

As I said, I like "Grounders" best...
...but "Goatee" inspired my new signature. :)

I do hope they get better as more are released.

Last two years were much better
I find this guy's voice kinda annoying =/

I still think they shoulda gone with the classic "They're Young, But They Can Play" Pt. 2

goatee
goatee made me laugh the most, but that was because i was left wondering if team usa would have praticed like that if they would have been in the game playing right now (that isn't being shown yet because of the stupid NIT)

I like them, though not as good as previous years. Hate the announcer though. When Roy Steele is healthy enough, they should have him do the voice overs and can this guy.

I about peed my pants watching the Blanton commercial... that was so damn funny.

Hmm
They're amusing, but not great compared to previous years.  The gravelly voice over just isn't doing it for me.  I miss the outright irreverence of previous years.

They are OK
But not better thanks to this crappy voiceover guy... His voice sounds like....

Anyone see the movie "Joy Ride"? with i think Paul Walker and Sean William Scott? Well the killer guy who says candy cane on the radio: The voiceover sounds like this guy. And that's just wierd.

Joy Ride...
It's Steve Zahn and Paul Walker.

It sort of sounds like Sam Elliott. I don't think it is, though. This is going to bother me until I find out.

Hasidic Reggae?
ohad... I thought (for some reason) that you were Asian... was I wrong? (I used to have an A's Kippah... wore it to Yankee Stadium for an A's game, and people behind me though I must be Walter Haas.... New Yorkers... Go figure.) Oh, and, by the way, Joe Morgan must go.

I don't like the new CD
by Matisyahu.  I think it's over-prouced and it feels like Matisyahu's music has been sterilized for public consumption.

All the FXs piled on to the tracks detract from what makes Matisyahu great, his band.  It feels like the major labels are trying to market him as a gimmick; a Hasidic jew singing reggae and not as music with a deep and resounding message.

Live at Stubb's is a much better album.

archived a's commercials
Does anyone know if old A's commercials are archived somewhere?

Some are on the website.
2004 and 2005 are archived on the A's site, if you get into the multimedia through the Fan Forum section.

The older ones... I dunno, I've been looking for those for awhile. :-( Since MLB switched off realplayer, the old links they used to have in articles to them no longer work.

It's primarily the older ones that I'm interested in, but it's good to be able to still get the last 2 years.

I think the commercials are great
The thing that is great about the commercials is they have a different personality every year, just like the guys in them. Every year has been great in it's own way. But they have all had a little different feel to them. I think that is what makes them so great. You know there will never be a commercial like the Space Time Continuium or Video Game Rookie or The Old Man!

This year is more subtle in it's humor, but it feels more realistic. I mean, I could totally see Danny shaving in the bathroom for 20 minutes just to have Huston walk in, take one look at himself and leave. Brilliant! Or Blanton in the weight room using a thigh master, Genius! It is like they spent a day in the clubhouse and created commercials out of the things that happened that day.

The last few years have been a little more outrageous. I mean, they were funny, but they would never happen in real life. (With the exception of Stomper getting stuck in a tree.) These commercials you could totally see happening for real. That is what makes them so funny!

So far, Goatee is my favorite. Danny is just so strangely hot in that one. But of course I can't wait for the rest of them to be posted on the website. I would love to get a DVD of all the A's commercials from the last 5 years or whatever. They are just wonderful!

Damn i don't know what ya'll are talking about. Them commercials are funny as hell. I just laughed my ass off out loud in the middle of lecture. It's def. a different type of humor, but funny as usual.
