Spring Training Pictures - 3/12 and 3/13

I live in Tempe, about 8 minutes away from the stadium, and my brother and his friends came down.  Here are some pictures.

For those of you at the A's - Angels on 3/12, I was the guy with the sign that said, "Name 1 Angel from before 2002"

J.T. Snow?  Give me a break!

Star-divide

Thanks!

I bet half the angels fans that were in attendance took offence to your poster only because they really couldnt name any monkeys prior to the 2002 season

Jim Abbot
wally joyner, jim edmonds?, nolan ryan.  anyways i got into a discussion with some yankees fans not too long ago, which turned into garble, and they were all like "name 5 A's".  that was their arguement as to why the A's won't win this year.  so i named off like the whole team.  stupid yankees fans.  i wanted them to name 1 hot prospect they have had since jeter.  all they could say was cano.  i was like, soriano dude, and you gave him away.  A's crush, screw the rest.  lol

Wasn't he drafted by the then Cal Angels?  I believe '75 or '76?
while I'm GM, I'd get the black uniform tops back into the mix, make high socks mandatory and add a beer tap in the press box-Mychael Urban

My favoite thing to do in college
I went to UCI and we used to go to Angels games, sit in the bleachers, $2.00 weekeday games for students, and wait for "Mr. October" to miss a ball, it usually went thru the wickets.

I used to love going to Angels games...
Walk up, $20 from a scalper for a good ticket above the dugout.....That was through about September 2002....Now it is a miserable place to be.

how about...
Jackson
Carew
DeCinces
Witt
Moore (RIP)
McCaskill
Abbott
Downing
Buice (reliever-- look him up)
Pettit (great centerfielder)
Baylor (MVP in 1979)
Ryan (remember him??)
Tanana
Fregosi (going way back now)

but the point is well-taken-- it's been a pretty anonymous franchise until very recently.
