Digital Camera and ST

I have a lot to learn about digital cameras and not enough time before leaving for Phoenix. PLEASE HELP!

I am heading to Spring Training next week beginning on Thursday and can hardly wait to see the new-look A's. More importantly, my nephew, who is 14-years old is absolutely sick that he can't come along because of school and I think the best gift for him is good photos from Arizona to make him feel like he is there.

Since everyone on this website seems to take such exceptional photos, I was wondering if any of you could recommend which type of digital camera I should purchase? I'm not much of a photographer so I really don't need anything really complex but I would like something that is simple to operate. Any help is appreciated and I will definitely post my pics on AN after I return home on March 12th.

it depends on the price range

ePinions is a good place to start.

I have a Minolta DiMAGE S414 that I bought a couple years ago that works well.

I've heard good things about most low-end Canons, and Kodak makes a decent low priced camera.

Good luck with the photos! I'm going to be at seven A's games between the 18th and 24th, and will be posting game pics on AN every day.

Minolta s414

I checked the camera out and that is probably about my speed. I work with quite a few graphic designers who are telling me to get a 5 megapixel camera but I don't think I need that much horsepower.

Have fun at ST and hopefully we'll run across each other's photos!!

I'd recommend the

Streetnolta-20. You just turn the power on, and it locates Huston's ass, points, focuses, and clicks. Very impressive, and it retails for only $20.20.

Huston...

NICO has a problem! I simply can't "pimp him out" with provocative pictures even though the ladies probably wouldn't be upset if I did. I'm trying to find a CLEAN camera phone so the Streetnolta is out of the question.
