Pitchers and Catchers Pics

I ran across these pictures on Yahoo's MLB pictures wire, and thought I'd post a little diary here with them. If anyone else finds pics of the A's in the next day or two, post them here. Or just hijack this thread for whatever you want.

More pics from Arizona will show up here in the next few days: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/oak/photos

For those who don't know, how to post a pic, here's a tip. Use the following tag, and remove the $ marks.

<$img src="http://photobucket.com/"$>

of course, put the location you uploaded your pic, or the location of the pic online where I've written photobucket's site.

[As a sidenote, I'm going to be in Arizona from the 18th to 24th, and will be going to all seven A's games while I'm there. I'll post pics from each game in a diary either later that night or the next day, depending on when and where I can get internet access.]

Seeing is Believing
There's something about seeing the players' photographs that makes Spring Training seem that much more real. It's one thing to say "Pitchers and Catchers Report", and quite another to see Jason Kendall joking with Barry Zito in full warmups.

We too will be heading down to Arizona to see the games from March 11 through 13, catching the White Sox, Angels and Gnats. The A's should sweep!

Spring Training Game Forecasting
I am sure that since these are all professional teams, we will see players put forth their full efforts, and they will be fighting for every out. As a result, we can expect top-level competition, followed by the A's shaking hands and walking off the field victorious. Otherwise, I'll ask for my money back.

Outraged Rejoinder!
Anguished recounting of forgotten magnitude of gr8ting shorthand eschewing punctation and teenagers in recent years, with intimations of hidden agendas of those who'd diminish said magnitude.  Three twenty-five cent words, one hyphenation discourse (with parenthetical  selective historical analogy), and in closing a wry double-entendre to complete a vast unbroken text block at the tail end of an oddball thread, unlikely to be read by anyone!

Whatever.
It is so 5'4". You have no idea what you're talking about.

[I am reminded of a skit I saw, similar in vein to this, in which a guy and a girl have a conversation like so: "Statement... exaggerated statement... forced laughter... childish insult... childish retort..." and ending with something like "well-thought-out retort with literary allusions and long-term scatalogical implications." Funny stuff.]
