Well, it looks like the Texas Rangers have decided to "join us"

Fox Sports' Ben Maller is reporting BOTH Zito and Thomas are talking with the Rangers for next season.  Which would give the Rangers THREE key Oakland A's.

Hey if Gary Matthews Jr leaves them, maybe we can trade Kotsay to them too!  And since they already have their new park and an owner willing to spend money for FAs, how cool would it be if they picked up Mulder and even Lilly as well?

Well, I was obviously one of the many who thought we should have hired Wash, but since I've been able to let go of Huddy, Miggy, Mark, Z and am preparing for Harden to leave one day too, let me just say that I wish the Texas A's and their new manager a career of second place finishes.  Hey, that'd be my bleacher sign "Thanks for everything Wash, may you always finish second"
