San Diego AN Roadtrip...

My roommate and I are thinking we need to make it up to Oaktown for the ALCS. I know it's not in the bag yet, but it's never too early to start planning.

Are there any ANer's down here in SD that want to make the trip up, share travel expenses, etc for the series. We don't have a ton of cash and since most of the bread will be spent on the best tickets we can get we have to keep all other costs as low as possible.

We are thinking leaving Thurs. evening or at the ass crack of dawn Friday morning. Since we will be missing work on Friday, we'd have to return on Sunday...but the A's should have swept by then anyways. :) Further, since my 1971 Bug isn't going to cut it, we are looking into renting a car. The size depends on how many join in on the joy ride of the year. Feel free to post suggestions if you're interested.

Last caveat. My roommate is a diehard Yankee fan. Isn't this going to be fun!

Capper3...
You're from SD? I really wish I could go, but I am totally broke. Maybe if the group is big and costs get low enough, I can go.

Yeah, I live in Ocean Beach...
I've only been here a bit over a year now. I know Pickin' Machine is down here...let's see what we can do. I'm pretty broke too.

Beautiful place!
I'm by SDSU... and I honestly don't know where Ocean Beach is. I've only been here for about a month and a half and my main frame of reference is the trolley map.

Ocean Beach is at the end of the 8...
or directly west of the Old Town trolley stop.

daaamn
why you gotta tempt me man?  A couple years ago and Im definetly in.

I doubt my wife would be down to hit the road with a bunch of dudes though, unless I could guarantee that Danny Haren would pitch...the whole game.

If you set something up to watch the game here in SD, I'd probably be in.  Not really any sports bars in OB that I know of, other than Winstons, but I think thats more football.  Definetly stay away from The Arizona, that place is beyond scary.

Hmm
Anyone know a good place to watch the game on Friday? Maybe we could make that work. Something close to a trolley/bus stop would be best. A couple people said they could do it in the broken finger thread. Any ideas as to where?

You're feeling very sleepy....
you want to go to the game....I can't go anywhere for the game tomorrow cuz i'll be at work. I will be taking a longer lunch and be at the Stadium Club (dive bar) in Mission Valley.

I live near USD
I would go, but my best friend is getting married Saturday.

If they advance to the ALCS, I'm definitely going, but my Yankees fan friend wants to go too.
