Well, ladies and gents, it looks like SOMEONE in this organization knows what they are doing!!!
Drafting T-Buck, trading Ethier for Bradley and moving Banquo to the mound are looking pretty good right now!!!
Travis Buck is asserting himself as prospect numero uno in our organization.
Aside from the fact that he has a Swisher-like giddiness and passion for the game he has an all around game.
He has come out swinging in AZ.
He leads the Desert Dawgs in RBI, with 6, in only 14 AB's. He has gone deep once and also has a double.
He has also been chosen to do a blog from the AFL.
This is a great source of info about life in the minors for the top level prospects. These guys don't have it so bad!!!
The Scottich Play is just straight up dealing. But, what else is new for the strong armed former OF prospect.
In 3 innings he has 4 K's and a save. He also has yet to walk anyone or give up a hit!!!
Look for him to be in Sac this year.
He jumped from A ball to AAA in an emergency situation last year, then went back into his comfort zone before ending the season at AA, Midland.
He would be a great story to me, if for no other reson than the fact that I can remember when he was drafted because of that classic last name.
Powell and Melillo are struggling, so I will not go into much them or Robertson.
I will conclude this diary with a thought about our manager situation.
Whether it is Geren or Wash I will support either choice. They are both great leaders of men and either one will be an improvement over, Ken the Moron.
On the same note, losing either would be a heavy blow to this organization. Especially Wash.
So, I say, Give Wash the chance with Geren as plan B.
I don't think that will happen because Geren has been groomed for this position. But, like I said, I will support either one.
