Check out my A's theme song: "Underdog Revolution"

Hey A's Nation -- I wrote and recorded a song for the A's back during the 2005 pennant drive, when I was stoked on what a comeback team we were.  The song is called "Underdog Revolution."  It seems fitting to unveil this now for all you diehard fans, as we embark with our team on the uphill climb of the postseason.

Follow this link to a downloadable version of the song, with lyrics on the webpage as well.  Unfortunately, it's not a streaming version, but you can save it and play it on any MP3 player (it's about 3 megs).  Hope you enjoy, and go A's!!!!

Thanks
Glad you liked the tune.  It's good to be reminded to feel positive about the team.

I bet the song came with a purse.

outstanding team spirit!
are you any relation to Rachel Elkind?

I'm sure we're related somehow...
...but not in the recent past anyway.  Also, no relation to noted psychologist David Elkind.

I see a T-Shirt
"Underdog Revolution."

Could be As related, or just a generic statement.

Great song, and I especially enjoyed the quality recording.

And to Add...
... there was a cartoon character in the 1960s (1970s?) called UnderDog.

That'd be a cool image to add, barring any cretinous copyright lawyers.

Copyright violations aside
I'm with you on the T-Shirt idea.  That would be awesome.  Just have to trademark the song title.  We couldn't legally use the cartoon character image though unfortunately.

Love it!!!
I am even wearing my Underdog t-shirt today! I do confess I took off my Swish shirt after the game. I have to wear it again tomorrow.
I'm not going to Cooperstown until Rickey does.

Great song!
They should play it in stadium.

I like the concept of your new cd. Looking forward to hearing it.

hey thanks
I actually emailed the song to the A's in-stadium entertainment people after I recorded it last year, but I think they wanted something with a faster tempo.  But I'm glad the tune can get a second chance here on AN.

As for the new CD, it should be available on CDBaby.com in the next week or two.  Keep checking in there or feel free to email me and I can mail you a copy directly!  Let's go Oakland!!!

I liked the second verse alot. Keep the Faith and maybe we'll see you out at the ballpark!!!
