Haha!
I was thinking about it, but I decided I liked mine too much to change it.

I didn't want to change mine either!
Look at all this Swisher love!!!  Can't wait to see what he's going to do in the post season!  Do you think there will be anyone more hyper and excited than him!?!
*Nick Swisher is good. He is home-run-beltin', sideburn-wearin', nonstop-talkin', bear-hug-dispensin', self-proclaimin' good.*

Don't die!
That's what everyone expects the A's to do!

This is going to be crazy week on AN.
  1. Playoff day games
  2. The <censored> Metro Doom
  3. Johan F'in Santana
  4. Our starting pitching <barf>
I am scared. Seriously. You probably won't hear from me all week.

Just keep repeating to yourself:

Ditto. :(
I'm terrified.

I started hyperventilating as soon as the final out was recorded in the Royals/Tigers game.  I think I'll hide under a desk until next Sunday.

What happens
Happens, playoffs anything is possible so get ready for a rollercoaster since there should be some good pitching but this is going to be good this week.

playoff schedule
I'm not sure if this is new but I'm seeing it for the first time - Playoff schedule.

ALL 3 day games?? How is this possible?  Everyone in the working world can't watch ANY.

by dscel on Oct 1, 2006 6:13 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

that's right
first one I'll be able to see I'll be at (Friday), and that's only because I made sure I'd be available that day. I'll have to catch up on Games 1 and 2 in between lots of other stuff.

It's all due to Yankees
Think about it... OAK vs. MIN or NYY vs. anybody. The Yankees always play in prime time. Yuckers.

Playoffs
I really hooe that the A's actually advance past the first round this year.  I think that the will be lucky to get a spit in minnesota.  Facing Santana is not cool.  Maybee it is a good thing that there are not many players on the team from the CHOKING A'S.  Hopefully the energy of Swisher and the rage of Bradley will propel them past the to a series win this year.

waiting for the playoffs
for the final verdict... but the Friday 9/22 12 inning game + fireworks on the fireld after the win is the high point so far and a memory to treasure forever no matter what happens this month.

ya that was definitly one of my favorites....
but then again i went to milton bradley's 3-run walk-off, too.

me too
I was also at both games and what a thrill they were.  Let's hve repeats in the play-offs (not the 12 innings tho).

The Huston picture and associated text
work absolutely beautifully together.
"The first night, we were right there," Bradley said. "All we needed was a couple of touchdowns, and we would have had them."

How do you find out...
How many days teams had players on the DL?  I'm going to remember winning despite all the injuries.  Did the A's have the most DL days?  It seemed like it.  Beane should get an executive of the year award.

I've enjoyed your comics all season, thanks.
Good work - I especially like the picture of the team celebrating on the field during the clincher.

It's one of the few celebratory shots I've seen without Jiminez finding the camera someway, somehow.
