A stupid FF question...
Do tickets sell out? Could I be safe buying one the day of?

If you have season tickets
You get FF tickets automatically, correct? I just want to be sure so that I can buy them if that is not the case.

If I remember correctly
They just sell away. No possible sell out or anything. Plus the past couple years they've printed the stuff on unused Playoff tickets, meaning there's at least like 5 sell out crowds worth of tickets. I'm guessing there won't be that many people there. (I always get a kick out of that, the unused Playoff tickets, I mean)

Wait... not many people at Fan Fest?
Last year, there were 24,288 people there. It was packed. I had an insanely good time, anyway.

This year, I'm leaving at 5 AM from ma maison. I mean, You can never get there too early. Some players come out and sign autographs before the gates for Fan Fest open. That's how I got my Danny Haren, Rich Harden and one of my Eric Byrnes autographs last year.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'm so excited. =]]]]]

while I'm GM, I'd get the black uniform tops back into the mix, make high socks mandatory and add a beer tap in the press box-Mychael Urban

I'll see you
at the ballgame!!

Or not... Are those the only people who are going to be there? I was kinda hoping to get Chavez's autograph after all these years ;)

I'm clinging to...
"many more." Curse you, public relations people! Curse you!

by Nimvee on Jan 8, 2006 12:53 AM PST up reply actions

There are typically many many more
the Q&A sessions usually have 4-5 people per session, and they run at least 4 sessions...

by the way, did anyone else notice that the field will be open this year (weather pending). that should make it a lot less crowded inside.

Those are the people who are SURE to be there
As in "Zero Chance of Getting Traded".

[phew]

I am soooooo kidnapping Huston this year. I mean, my yearly attempt towards seducing Zito will still be in play, but hey, you can never have too many baseball players. =]

thanks for the discount code
with all the fees and stuff, it makes the total cost $10, which would be the same as if you got it at the gates....

Free tickets
I remember I was about to go to the ticket window with a friend to buy tickets to fanfest last year when all of a sudden a coast guard recruiter gave me free tickets.

And he didn't even give me the spiel.

Any idea what time the parking lots open?
Or the BART gate?  I don't really want to take BART at the crack of dawn, since it would take more than twice as long as driving, but if that's the only way to get in line early enough, I will...

You could always drive and
park on the streets or at BART and walk in. There's plenty of parking around there as long as there aren't already 30,000 people there.

I got there at 6:30 AM last year
There were already like, nine people in line in front of me. I was envious. They hadn't gotten held up.

This is my first time going
What time should I get there and what events would you all recommend?

by suprjo on Jan 9, 2006 9:59 PM PST reply actions

Get there EARLY.
If you want to get some autographs, you need to get there early to buy the tickets. You also need to be quick to get in line because it gets insanely long. The Q & A sessions are really cool. You need to get there early, too, if you want to get a seat.

The whole experience in itself is amazing.

My advice: Get there early. Early, early, early. I'm leaving mi casa at 5 AM.
