Interview with A's prospect Craig Italiano
an exerpt to meet the minimum post requirement:
AF: Your high school teammate Paul Kelly went just one selection after you, what was that like for the both of you?
CI: I was on the phone with the A's when he was selected. My mom yelled the news from the other room. We couldn't believe it! Has that ever happend before?

I think he definetly has the best arm of the guys drafted in '05. Hopefully he doesnt blow it out.

Great interview.... yet again.
Italiano
But hey, if he can pitch, far be it for me to care.
All the more reason
But, like I said, if he can pitch, well, you know, it just wont matter.

nice going!
How realistic is it that he's going to make AA by the end of the year? Wasn't the knock on him that he had a cannon arm but control issues?
re
Honestly, not very realistic. Not because he wont pitch well enough to deserve promotions, but because I don't feel the A's will need to move him that quickly. I think if he ends the year in Stockton (something Ryan Webb couldn't do) then his season should be seen as a success.
I also don't think control will be a major issue for him, but his health/mechanics will be.
