It looks like the Japanese import Keiichi Yabu, bringing with him an unblemished career record of 4-0, will be doing battle with the Mile High atmosphere of Coors Field come April, just so long as he plays his way onto the team, for today, he signed a minor league deal with the Rockies.
As you no doubt recall, Yabu, 37, had forty relief appearances for the A's, going 4-0 with one save, pitching 58 innings, racking up 44 strikeouts against 26 walks, and an ERA of 4.50.
Unconfirmed comments from unreliable sources stated that Yabu's number one regret was that he was unable to conduct an interview with Blez on Athletics Nation. His number two regret? Having never appeared in the ANtics.
