On mlbtraderumors, their is an article about a trade rumor between the Cubs and A's. A's give Zito and Cubs give three pitching prospects (Rich Hill, Angel Guzman, and Sean Marshal). This is according to Dave Kaplan, the host of WGN 720, a Chicago sports radio show. I don't know much about any of these guys other than Hill, but I am deffinetly glad that IF Zito goes to the Cubs we won't get Felix Pie. Hill, Guzman, and Marshal are the #4, #5, and #6 prospects in the Cubbie system according to Baseball America.

It was written by Time Dierks, who also contributes to rotoworld and foxsports.com.IMO, any trade that goes through for Zito that Beane approves is fine. I am good with Saarloos at #5.

Frankly, at around 8 million, Z might not even be worth it. In this market it's a bargain (lets use this to our advantage!), but looking at our team I don't think we need him. I would rather put the money in reserve for the trade deadline, and for next season. Not to mention his return in a trade.
