Zito's Short Memory

Derek Jeter hit Barry Zito's first pitch of the game over the wall on Sunday night. It was the first time that a Yankee player had hit a first-pitch home run to lead off the first inning of a game since April 29, 2004, when Jeter connected off none other than Zito at Yankee Stadium.

Yet tonight, he served up two first-pitch ducks for Jeter to blast out of the park and into the gap for doubles. I guess Barry really can't read very well, eh? Either that or he doesn't remember his past games, successes or failures. I'm getting tired of his surfer boy attitude towards his starts; he needs to either demonstrate he's the leader of this staff or hit the highway and go pitch for the Devil Rays.
