The difference between Torre & Macha: Fortitude & Guts

In Friday's game, we saw Torre bench his entire team after they fell behind 12-0. Tonight, Macha did nothing tonight as his team disintegrated and fell behind early 6-1.

I am sick of seeing this team babied and pampered when they stink. Is there any consequence to any of them when they screw up and play poorly? Torre did the right thing Friday night; he sent a message to his team that poor play will not be tolerated. Will Macha do anything like that? No. Has he ever done anything like that? That's the difference between a winning organization and a lollygagging organization, and I, for one, am sick of seeing the A's lollygag after disgraceful losses like these last two. Letting two waiver wire pitchers shut them down in back-to-back games is pathetic, but since they know there's no penalty for sucking, they just don't care.
