That close, ...that simple.
That one change and 4 rookies pack to show off in the playoffs instead of becoming spectators like you and I.
...who knows what may have followed?
Hatte is a great guy.
BB is the boss that sets policy.
No sane major leaguer thinks Hatte is an everyday DH. ...not even Hatte.
BB must wear that and the repeat of an offense that ran and hid from winning teams, ...not from Chicago.
50+ games with 2 runs or less offense!
- Another season cut short by a few wins.
- Another season of Hatte M.I.A. in crucial Aug-Sept games.
- Let me make your day! ...Hatte already has a 2006 contract!
This can easily turn into a 3 year BB brain fart!
Seriously folks. ...No way around it...
If Hatte went down and Durazo stayed healthy, or if BB swung a deal for a real DH, ...the A's make the playoffs.
BB conceded this season for lack of a major league DH.
BB can also concede 2006, or, he can make the hard decisions he is paid to make. Don't tell me it was easier to trade Miggy, Mulder, Hudson, ...
