I remember posting in May and saying everything is going to be ok. I am not sure I believed it, but faith does work miracles. We have 10 games left and we are in the hunt.
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for the interesting posts, goofy ideas, and cool cartoons.
But mainly I want to thank this team. They have no business being where they are, we have disposed of our best players over the last 5 years, and yet they still play hard and compete while most of them are making the MLB equivilent of slave wages.
Eveyone has, during the season, made big plays when we needed them. They still drive me to the heights of joys and the depths of agony, and I love it.
I am proud that we dont have people with their own lazy boy in the locker room.
I am happy that I will never have to read about an Athletic throwing his teammate under the bus during a meeting about his steroid use.
I am overjoyed that my ten year old son loves this team as much as I do and I am glad that I dont have to explain what a DUI is to him.
Finally, I will joyously continue to drink the Kool-aid until Billy tells me to stop.
No matter what happens over the next ten games this team deserves to be recognized for what they have accomplished.
Let's Go A's!
