Around SBN: Knicks 90, Raptors 87: "Shump and Lin wouldn't let us lose."

I hate watching these losers bat!!

I know how unfair this comment is.  I've been positive all year on this team.  It's the "worst team we'll have for the rest of the decade".  But waiting for Chavez to come up and look like an idiot in the 9th, on 3 pitches--I knew he would do that!!

I guess it's just being a diehard fan.  I'll be at every home game the rest of the season (except one).  And we still may overtake those Annaheim losers.  But man, this team is so, so painful to watch when they are at the plate--I watched the '69 Cubbies blow it to the f,,,,,ing "miracle mets".  and believe me, these are similar feelings.

Erik you make me sick!! on offense.  I admit I love the D.  But can't you work with someone one going the other way???  What is this all about?

Go rag on Chavez in Oaktoon or
RLangford's thread. They'll be glad to have you. Do we really need another diary to whale on 'Erik?'

Don't you get it
He's the leader. He's the best player. We're all at his door because we'll die (metaphorically) unless he shows up. We don't hate him. We're just all outside shouting, "Chavy, come out and save us. We need you to save us. Where are you? We need you, man."

I get it.
I get it plenty. That's exactly how I feel. I'm a) frustrated with him right now, and b) frustrated with all the people eager to make 100,151 new diaries to call him out for being a loser. I understand the frustration. Trust me, I do. Liking him makes it so much worse to see him struggling. But honestly, the constant reaming the man takes is just a little ridiculous at times.

I am not a shameless Chavez apologist. I love him, I expect the best of him, I'm being driven up the wall by him at the moment, and I hope he stays in the green and gold.

... It's 3:15 AM here. I need to go to bed. Tomorrow is another day.

i agree with this as well
Chavez is my favorite player (and not just because all the other ones left, he always was). But that said, i'm just dying for him to save us as well. I would like nothing more than for Chavez to just play like Guerrero for these last two weeks.

But i agree with Chavinator as well on the topic of these diaries. How many can you make????????

I don't know what i'm writing about.

you bet I am!! A lot more fun than
the last two games, that's for sure.  And I'll be at the Coliseum rooting for our boys 9 of the next 10 home games.  I'm really glad we don't see the Twins' ace this series.  Maybe we can sweep, we really need it.

My enthusiasm is slightly tempered since we bombed a pitcher that has a 5+ ERA since the break.  But still, we bombed him and the guy that followed.

On the other hand, maybe if Crosby is back and hitting, he'll support Chavey, and Chavey could continue today's hitting.

she was never able to watch me play because the games were too late back home, and now she's got front-row seats to every game.. Swish re: his grandmother
