Hardens bullpen session

Is there any information out there re: Rich's session he was scheduled to throw on thusrday? Any news on how he feels?  I know Oakland is pretty tight-lipped about this stuff, and this injury has been a pain (pun?), but I know some in AN have their sources.
Also, SJ Merc report that Crosby may start in Minn series?  Anymore info on that?

Crosby walked on treadmill and awaits permission from Dr. to play on Tuesday. Harden threw 40-50 balls on flat ground and "felt good" with the next step being throwing from the mound...last throwing session was more "hopeful" than the last.

Finally...
a few nuggets of good news.  We desperately need them both the last week.

I posted this in the Link Dump...
Harden played long toss with pitching coach Curt Young late Thursday afternoon. It was the first time he had thrown since aggravating his strained right upper back Sunday.
Harden threw 40-45 times with Young and will throw off the front slope of the mound Saturday or Sunday. Young said Harden threw well and had no pain.

He could be back on the 25th if all goes well but we've heard that before.

It went fine.
The problem is all the other times he has gotten to this point, he's also felt fine. It's when he throws from the mound and attempts to actually PITCH that the pain begins. So I'm not too hopeful at this point.

Crosby was on a treadmill, though. His return seems a bit more likely, at least.

this may be heresy...
and i'm new at this comments stuff...but a strained lat muscle, what's up with that???? and believe me, i know he throws hard....but he's only 22.
he's a great pitcher and we want him to stay great....but we really need him now...

are these players being protected or coddled, that's my question...
hey to quote a friend of mine, "it's not like his digging ditches all day,"... we just want him to come out and pitch a few innings...can't he take a motrin and come out and do that...

i think an expanded training regimen
might help.  IE:  Zito's type of "less weights, more pilates-type strength conditioning"

Tough it out!
I hear yah, but at the same time you don't want him coming out overthrowing or hangin his pitches and putting his team at risk.

Hmm....
Crosby sounds promsing since ever that little ankle fracture doesn't really last that long, only about that full month is he gone I hope comes back with fire power just like last time.
