Negative posts
I'm having a great time watching the game and watching the posts ... both positive AND negative. But you know what's just as bad as listening to people bitch and moan about the A's? People who bitch and moan about the people who bitch and moan.
It's currently 3-3, by the way. But you "positive thinkers" need to relax a bit as well. Some people show their emotion by getting angry and saying things they don't really mean. You, on the other hand, choose to stay positive. That's great ... but don't get upset because everyone's not like you. Your positive "vibes" and all that other stuff doesn't effect the game one bit .. just like the negativity doesn't. This is a forum for everyone, like it or not. So stop crying about it. People express their passion in many different forms. Some get excited, some (like a certain 3B I know,) choose to stay calm. Whatever. But it makes it fun, so lighten up.
Remember one thing ... guys like Oaktoon and the rest LOVE THE A'S JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO.
So whining about the whining is every bit as chicken-s#$%! Go A's!

Completely agree
The people that complain about the complainers remind me A LOT of right wing religious radicals....We're not preprogrammed robots, people, we have emotions!
Go A's

Now we have moaning about the
I'd like to be the first to congratulate the ANer that is first to do a little bitching about the ANers moaning about the ANers complaining about the ANers complaining about the ANers complaining about the negative postings.
...and of that I'm positive.

Tough, vacafan
I don't choose to be around constantly negative pissy people offline, why would I chose to be around such people online?

huh?
I think people who compare a blog where everyone can post freely (except for peer pressure) to Soviet Russia should be banned and sent to a gulag. Or Guantanamo. Yeesh. There's no oppression on AN, there's just varying numbers of people telling each other to shut up because they irritate each other. Are we going to ban that? Ban banning?
Gawd I'm confused.

My point is
A "glass half full" outlook doesn't win any ballgames, just as much as an honest "call a spade a spade" outlook doesn't lose any, either.
All I'm saying is let people express their frustration ...if you don't want to read it, then don't read it.

I want the A's to win the World Series every year
Am I positive?
...or negative?
or simply abhorred by the indifferent "Happy happy joy joys?"
Are the HHJJs negative by their indifference to the A's making changes that make winning easier?
If a HHJJ was wandering in a daze on the fast lanes of the freeway the other HHJJs would call the commuters negative, complainers, and whiners and claim their HHJJ brethen possesses mucho good vibes.
<Sorry. The only good vibes possible here is if that HHJJ has a looped version of the Beach Boys Good Vibrations plugged in on continuous play>
