Angels (Byrd) @ Mariners (oy, Franklin...)

Ervin Santana got CRUSHED last night. This game is huge for the A's.  They stay a game back if the Angels lose tonight

Given their schedule, need to drop a few games like this to allow the A's some breathing room on this tough road trip.

0-0 heading to the bottom of the first.

Dobbs is a freaking supervillian
He could vaporize the Angels with his giant underground death ray, except that would violate the collective bargaining agreement, so instead he just lays waste to the sad withered attempts by the so-called Angels pitchers to pass off unworthy offering past his godlike hitting presence.

I have converted to Dobbsism, which requires the faithful to say his name three times in the morning before every game against the Angels.

Pumped up!

you are intentionally trying to provoke me
and my new god, The Dobb. He is known by different names in different cultures, Le Dobb, Los Dobb, Dobb-tono, and MC Dobb.  But certain qualities remain constant. First, he is plural (Dobbs) yet singular. Second, he always kicks ass and takes no names. Third, despite a .229 AVG, he busts a move when all is dark in A's Nation. Fourth, he always has a nice hinder.

Franklin is allowed to pitch for The Dobb and may be appreciated in his Royal Underwater Court.

But never doubt The Dobb, lest your free magnetic calendar fail to stick well to your fridge.  BEWARE!

consider me a convert too
but I belong to the sect, at odds with some mainstream Dobbsists, that recognize Ryan Franklin as a supervillain as well, one that causes hitters to cringe with discomfort at the plate as if they were being punctured with large quantities of needles, then remain stricken with fear in the dugout for at least 10 games.
