In review

So I have already posted a bit last night after that incredible game. But I wanted to hit on a couple of things again.
First, I had no problem with DJ being pinch run for. This was a big game. They wanted to score that run in the tenth. DJ is awsome we all know this. DJ is slow, we all know this too. I would have liked to see Bynum tag on the pop foul though. If you have speed use it. Otherwise, I agree with memebers of the "bad move" club who didn't want a pinch runner in that situation. What upsets me about the play was Bynum was half way down the line on the pop. What the hell is he doing? If they play isn't made it's dead. If he makes the play it's live, why not be on the bag ready for the tag? I don't know who fell asleep there (Bynum or Washington, I doubt it was Wash).
Next, K-Rod celebrating like he won the World Series in the tenth. Dude, it's tied and need we remind you of what happened when last you were on the mound against the green and gold? Glad you ended up taking the loss even though you're on my fantasy team you bum!
Garrett Anderson commited a horrible error (though not a chargable error) in the tenth. With a tie score late in the game and nobody to back you up you play it safe and conceed the single. You have already turned 4 DP's in the game. Instead you put a runner in scoring position with nobody out. They got lucky this game wasn't over in the tenth.
Zito looked great. When he is on it is so pretty to watch. Colon, though sooooo fat, was just as good. I'm a old fashion guy and loved seeing a starter come out for the tenth.
I notced Street took off his bracelet before he came in. Friggin' Scoiscia always makes him take it off trying to play games. Go try and lose weight with Colon you loser. I had to watch the Angels broadcast and listen to Hudler proclaim the Angels were getting squeezed on every pitch while the A's were getting all the calls. He might whine as much as Scoiscia. Please let me get the A's broadcast tonight. They might as well put Joe Morgan on the Angels broadcast if they really want it to be annoyng and unwatchable.
Okay, I need to stop. I could talk about lastnight's game all day but I do actually need to work before today's game starts.

on the Bynum move
I definitely had my questions for Macha about putting Bynum in; but after a bit of thinking, I commend Macha for it.

Bynum is no doubt going to be included on the 40-man roster tomorrow. Theres going to be a lot of green-eyed kids out there watching this pennant race from the dugout, and what better way to introduce Bynum ot the big leagues than to put  him in, in extra innings, against your division rivals, in their park, playoff atmosphere... talk about getting your feet wet! He was up to his hips!!

so all in all, the next time they may need Bynum he'll have a little experience on this big league level.

I'm prettty sure had his spot in the lineup come up, Macha would have pinch-hit Melhuse.

Unlike the Classless folks on the Halo's blog...
I'd like to give Colon some props, along with Z-man.    9 innings each, and then Colon comes out for the tenth.  That is what baseball should be.  Good job.
