A's ROY 3-peat or 4-peat?

I don't get too caught up in who will win ROY, probably because the people who vote on these things don't appreciate our Fearsome Foursome of rookies (If John Kruk is reading this, that's Dan Johnson, Nick Swisher, Huston Street, AND Joe Blanton) like we do.  What they have done as a unit is truly inspiring.

Then I got to thinking that if one of them wins the award this year (and they all deserve it), then who might win it next year?

Dan Meyer.  Yeah, I said it.  After an inspiration chat with our favorite hurler from Alabama, Meyer will get that arm in shape, earn a spot in the rotation, and complete the ROY trifecta.  Maybe by Fall of 2006 the A's will by a bandwagon team, and maybe everybody (read BBWAA) will be on for the ride.

Maybe it's a long shot, but 2007 ROY might not be.  I assume during 2006 that either Barton or Ethier will be called up to the squad, but not both.  The way these two keep swinging it, this is not unrealistic.

I know this is hard to predict, but it sure is fun to think about.  The BBWAA might be in love with some 32 year old from Japan with 15 years of professional baseball experience, but you never know.  What we can expect, is a continued run of solid baseball that is played by highly talented and inexperienced players.  It will be a fun ride.

I've included a poll just for fun.
