AN Day Pictures (warning, no popular people)

I had a blast at AN day. It was a bit weird talking to people that you kind of know well, but not really at all, but I got over it and enjoyed my internet buddies nonetheless.  I didn't get to meet everyone, but the people I did talk to were really cool. I also enjoyed watching the A's winning a game. So, with AN land sulking tonight, I thought I would post pictures from the last game we won. Remember those days? It seems like an eternity ago. Enjoy!

This was the view from my seat

Melisa and other ANers

Me and Melisa

Mike Heath and his significant other

FormerHuntsvilleStar at his first A's game in Oakland

EasyRaider and his son

Hooray! Everyone cheers Kotsay's HR while Jerry (of kimNjerry) does his best impression of Kotsay rounding the bases

Me and the future GM of the Oakland Athletics, ohad. I'll be showing my grandkids this one.

Stupid Wave

Not AN day, but my kid couldn't make it and I was jealous of seeing everyone pictures of everyone else's kid and not mine

one more (couldn't resist)

cute kid!
and now we'll always be able to remember what FHS looked like before hideous sunburns turned him into a reclusive super-villain.

Yeah...
...although unfortunately I don't have a superhero to exact revenge upon. :P

Nice pictures!
See, these pictures are proof that the Coliseum is a great place. Look how nice it is to have just about every seat filled with totally a sunny, welcoming ballpark! Thanks for sharing your pictures, they're cool and they really capture the fun and excitement of AN DAY II! And yeah, it does feel like an eternity since the A's figured out the meaning of clutch hits.

Nice talking to you, I remember we were talking about schools or something... But then I can't remember what happened next :( Your son is totally adorable. He totally has your eyes and your smile too. [Studio portraits in A's gear? You rock!]

I'd like to think of myself as popular :)

kind of
I think you used to in with the "in" crowd, but your absence lately has hurt your popularity. I'd say if you went back to posting on a more regular basis, you might get crowned the king of the next AN prom.

Oh, and your pose in the picture was probably a bit off because you're thinking, "who the heck is this nut that cornered me and forced me to take a picture with him?"

You're here, already.
Change the sig. All those bold, italic "I"s are beginning to grate.

Thanks for the pix, gojohn!

Me too!
I saw the diary title and though for sure there would be a total glam shot of me eating ice cream with my roommate. Except there wasn't any ice cream and my look that day was seriously not glam.

Great pix, gj10
I love that you and your adorable son are rocking the A's gear, apparently 24/7! Too bad he couldn't come, but there's always next year!

One would only hope...
that Kotsay rounds the bases better than I do.

Great shots, great day.

I had to recommend this diary....
for obvious reasons!

Great pictures, John!

And the one of you and Jack is too cute!!!!  It was fun to see you again. Hopefully, you can bring the whole family next time. =)

Does my absence
mean that you think I'm popular?
The next time I slap a guy's ass, can we all just assume it's because I wish I was a baseball player?

by devo on Aug 17, 2005 1:51 PM PDT reply actions

who's popular
You're absence does not ensure your AN popularity. Think of it this way, it improves your chances.

Popularity is too unreliable
so I've adopted a strategy of ubiquity instead.

Your son is adorable!
And, I'd like to note, dressed weather appropriately.  I always shiver when I see these little kids running around the freezing colisuem when its 9 pm and they're in t'shirts.

hello again Oakath
Thanks gojohn10 for posting the pictures.

My wife and I got home om Sunday and my wife said "you don't think our picture will be posted do you".

And I said "don't worry I don't post often enough.  I'm not famous enough on the blog"

So when I saw your title I laughed!!!!
