Bars Near Oakland to Watch Away Games??

Hello fellow ANers.

I was wondering if there are any good A's fan friendly bars either in Oakland or within 15 miles of it.

I don't really frequent sportsbars and I don't really like to drink that much either. However, I was wondering if there was an establishment where I can watch A's away games with a lot of fellow A's fans.

I've been to Ricky's in San Leandro and Pacific Coast Brewery in Old Oakland and I wasn't really impressed with either. Ricky's is mainly Raider hang-out and PCB seemed like it was mainly a lunch time/after-work place for Downtown workers.

If anybody has suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Sacramento...
I'm wondering the same about the Sac area. I'm new to the city and have no idea where to catch the games.

Rubicon Brewing Company
Capitol and 19th, roughly.  Great beer, great (reasonably priced food).

Berkeley
I've met a few fellow ANers at Triple Rock in Berkeley.  When the game is on there are definitely fans in place.

Triple Rock is good.
I've gone there after games every once in a while. Our waitress once gave us a little A's monkey to wrap around our pitcher. It was great. =)

Are any of these bars able to pick up
radio-only away games, i.e., the opposing team's feed?
Let us not continue to debate how many Angels can be dashed on the head of a pin. Let's just get to it while the gettin' is good.

set it up
I used to go to King's X in Piedmont.  Oakland could use an A's joint.  Venture capitalists?  I will assist with business model.

Ricky's in SL?
It's considered one of the best sports bars in the country.  I don't go there for baseball season.  I go there alot for college football season.

sports bars near coliseum
try the Hoff Braus(sp?). It's a bar and restaurant behind the coliseum's rear parking lot. Haven't been there in a while, so don't know if they're still open.

San Francisco
On a closely related topic, are there any bars in SF that consistently play the A's games?

My local will play them if I beg them too, but then I have to listen to all the Gnats fans constant complaining.  Would love to meet up with other A's fans in the city.  :)

Thieves Tavern or Whiskey Thieves
Thieves Tavern is on 20th and Shotwell - A's always get the big screen.  Whiskey Thieves is on Geary between Hyde and Larkin.

Stef's on 2nd
Will have the A's game on.

As to Pacific Coast Brewing in Oakland.  If I want to watch a game that is where I go.  The day bartender is a huge A's fan and if the game isn't on TV he will have the radio on (and even if the game is on TV he will still usually have the radio on).  I've never had any toruble getting the PCB folks to have the A's game on.  The night bartender is a big Twins fan but also likes the A's.  So just ask nicely and they will turn on the game for you.  UCI Anteater is correct that PCB is mostly downtown office workers and other assorted riff raff (including yours truely about once/week).  However they make very good beer and have a good selection of other beers if you don't find an on premise brewed beer to your liking.
