How should I get to the stadium this weekend?

My wife and I are planning on attending all three games vs. the Twins this weekend.  We usually stay in Walnut Creek and take BART to the games.  This time we are staying in Jack London Square - new for us.  Looking at a map I see that we could walk to the City Center BART station.  Is this a good option?

Poll
Would you walk 0.6 miles on Broadway from Jack London Square to the BART station?
Yes, it's totally safe and not a bad walk.

No, that's not such a good neighborhood.

Furthermore
I stayed in the Courtyard Marriot in late May that is right by the 12th street entrance to the Bart Station.  I walked down to JL Square quite a bit from 12th St. I am a fast walker so it may be more like 15 mins, if even that.

Alternately ...
you could take Amtrak ... there's a station at JLS and another at the Coliseum.
The next time I slap a guy's ass, can we all just assume it's because I wish I was a baseball player?

Or
a taxi, bus or BART to SFO, fly to Oakland via somewhere else then the bus to the Collesium station.

hmm...
I read that as FRIED MACHA. AS in I want my FRIED MACHA NOW.
No, I do not want to FIRE MACHA NOW, nor do I think Blanton is fat. Now leave me alone.

it's an easy walk...
and it's safe, during the day at least.

if safety is your concern, OPD headquarters is at 7th and Broadway, on your way to the 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART station.
that might make you feel better.

Have some pregame Chinese dim sum at Jade Villa in between 8th and 9th Streets on Broadway. If you don't like Chinese, have a beer and some pub grub at Pacific Coast Brewery on Washington (in between 9th and 10th Streets.)

Have a fun weekend!

I found it very safe and comfortable
at night too.  Pacific Brewery is real good.

Thank you all
I was trying to stay away from the "Is it safe to walk the streets of Oakland?" line.

We are fired up to see games three, four and five of our next winning streak.

Go A's!

Also try

Pretty good food, most interesting decor and good bar prices!

Also a place that most tourists don't ever get to because they're scared to leave JLS.

Have fun!
