AN software requires I enter more, so I'm reprinting on this wonderful day my comment titled "You Wimps." from the May 15th thread How do people feel about the A's chances now? where I and many other ANers publicly sounded like fools predicting the A's would get back to .500.  Now for at least one day, it won't sound so dumb. Bwa ha ha!

You wimps.

I predicted in spring training that that A's would be utterly unpredictable and could be from 70 to 90 wins.  Now with all the injuries...?  The AA quality hitting?

I'm predicting 90. That's right.

Believe it or not, our struggles have convinced me we're a good team. Yes, that's not the fatigue talking. Hear me out.

First, in this godawful slump, we've actually played very well for 75% of each game. Of course that crummy 25% did us in. But IMHO, the BoSox and the Yanks are the cream of the league. They are practically wall to wall all-stars. And yet we hung with them, despite having all our key young'uns and new folk injured and Chavy a head case.

But Kendall and Chavy are showing signs of life. Our schedule gets easier after BOS leaves. Then we'll have BoCro and Swish and Harden back in June. Calero will be better. We're going to scrap our way to .500 by June's end. Then we play 3 games over .500 in each of July/Aug/Sept and we're at 90 wins.
