I was never convinced that the experiment to convert him into a closer would work, but hey even Beane can't bat 1.000 every time. And to his credit, he realized he made a mistake and swung the deal for Dotel. After that, I knew that Rhodes would be a head-case or disruptive personality in the clubhouse. I remember when he called out some of the starters last year and ruffled a few feathers. Well now Rhodes lashes back at the A's fans who booed him on Wed (which included me). Says Rhodes of the A's fans:

"These fans don't bother me. They're not like the fans in Cleveland, who appreciate the game. These fans don't know much about the game. They boo you one day and cheer you the next."

Gotta love him.
