Kotsay's day off
Does anyone know why Kotsay had a day off?  Other than he was due one, I found this tidbit of info:

Kotsay out: Evidently the Dallas Mavericks' team jet is not quite a spa with wings.

The A's returned from their four-game set in Texas on Mark Cuban's luxury plane, and Mark Kotsay fell asleep during the flight.

Unfortunately, he napped in an awkward position and woke up with a sore back that was stiff enough to keep him out of the starting lineup Monday.

You know Yabu only has 26 relief appearances, but 42.2 innings. Only Street and Duchscherer have pitched more innings. Definitely a long relief specialist I guess.  I wonder if he has had more value than we give him credit for.  He is an inning eater and when the rest of the bullpen needs a rest you go to Yabu.
