I was talking with someone in the Pittsburgh area today and they mentioned to me that they heard that the A's were interested in Rob Mackowiak.  

He seems to fit in with what the A's need.  I would want someone with a little more pop, but there are slim pickens at 2B with any kind of power.  

Jeff Kent's power would be nice, but his Salary and attitude aren't so nice.   Other than that...I can't think of too many other 2Bs that would help us out much more than what we already have.

So, that being said...is Mackowiak with what is left of his one-year, 1.5million deal worth trading for??
