Harold Reynolds On Sportscenter

Just said he thinks the A's will make the playoffs.

He loves what the A's are doing.  Not only are we young but we are young AND talented.  Being only 6.5 (actually we are 7.5 out) in the West and 5.5 (actually we are 4.5 out) he sees us getting into the post season.

For once we are getting some love!

Let's hope...
he isn't wrong this time.

I see you are going to try to make it the Royals series - very cool.  We have a few of us trying to setup a tailgate on the 6th, too bad you will be in MU country for the wedding.

Go to the game, Alien--
there won't be a wedding anyway; I'm flying there to object.

now of course
i'd love to see that.

i've only met these people once. But if you told them that you were the grooms gay lover...well...it would definitely get a reaction. (Because gay marriage was THE ONLY issue that mattered in last years election, just so you know...)

I don't put any credence in his words
one way or the other.  Harold Reynolds is a NTAC.  And I wouldn't worry about the bandwagon growing.  If we want to find the hardcore fans, we always have the Open Threads from East Coast day games.

what the heck is
a NTAC?  You don't want to know what Google's first hit on NTAC is. Or maybe you do...  Anyway, I'm 99% sure Reynolds isn't one of them.

Just checking.

Give Kruk a Little Credit
I won't call Kruk anything close to an intelligent analyst, but I'll give him credit for a self-demeaning sense of humor. After he had a cancerous testis removed prior to a season, he remarked: "Hey, you reporters should note that I threw out the first ball!"

I agree,
it's just who else can one make "single nut" jokes about? It's more about "opportunity" than it is about "motive," or, for that matter, "evidence" (thank God).

Harold Reynolds bugs
the living shit out of me and I love the fact that he continues to make himself look like someone who just has no clue. It's always,"The Yankees this, the Yankees that, blah blah blah blah".

And you know something, I hope everyone else in the baseball world continues to think "the A's are the worst team in baseball......until I change my mind because I'm actually paying attention to what the team is doing on a daily basis. Whoops! Guess I just made a complete jackass of myself, huh? Oh well, better to be  too late than not get it at all".

Actually, Tim McCarver did mention the A's as a team that is getting hot and putting themselves in postion to make a run at the playoffs. And Buck said nothing.......as usual. No matter, I really don't care for either of those guys, especially Buck. Too bad about Duke, he really deserved to represent the team even for just one out ala Barry Zito a  few years back. Looking forward to the Texas series and putting the chair throwing pansies in their place.

I like Harold Reynolds
yes he is a bit mainstream focused, but I love hime during the College World Series and his jovialness seems much more tolerable than Kruk's retardedness.

My two cents on Harold Reynolds
He is one smooth dude and a good ambassador for the game.  I would actually like to see him manage some day.  I think he is negatively affected by the association with Kruk.  He has been on BBTN for 10 years or so for a reason.

As far as changing his tune on the A's this season, remember that he was in Omaha for the CWS for two weeks in June and then went on vacation like the rest of the regulars did (when we were stuck with John Anderson, Larry Bowa and Buster Olney), so he wasn't closely following the A's when they caught fire.  Maybe once Harold got around the "baseball convention" at the All-Star Game all the writers, players, coaches, etc. whispered in his ear that the A's are for real.

this just proves their lame at espn
last week reynolds proclaimed that the A's would NOT make the playoffs...as did Kruk.  They both figured the A's were palying over their collective heads and would stumble at least once in the 2nd half and miss the WC.  These guys are no different than Jeannie Zalasky and K Kennedy...clueless

Exactly....
I could care less about these 'Analysts' who were former players.  They are what the are.  I like HR in the College WS too, but could care less about his assessment of our team.  I mean he probably only has watched 5 A's games all year!

Instead of talking about his change of heart, I think all we should be talking about how the A's are going to take advantage of home field advantage in the world series!

Does anyone look dorkier in white cleats than A-rod?  I think he must secretly really want to be an A.  He wore them in last years All star game too.  (and looked just as bad.)
