GoThunder Dan Johnson
Thata' boy kid. You gotta love these young guys we have coming up - the future is bright.
On an unrelated matter. I had posted this previosly, but it didn't seem to get many answers. I've seen surveys about "where in the world" are AN'ers from and many other interesting unscientific surveys conducted on this site.
I was wondering how many A's games you make it to a year and how many different stadiums/cities you are able to make it to a year to watch the A's. Unfortunately, I'm stuck out here on the [L]East Coast, more specifically Washington DC. This year I have been fortunate enough to see the A's play in four different cities and have had the pleasure of meeting AN'ers at some of those games.
To date I have seen:
- 3 games in Baltimore (A's went 2-1)
- 1 in Boston (A's lost on Veritek's walk off homer off "hotel" dotel)
3) 3 in Cleveland (A's went 0-3)
4) 3 in DC (A's went 0-3)
1) How many games are you able to make it to a
year? and
2) How many cities have you seen the A's play in
in one given season?

16 games this year...
I'd estimate I make it to about 30-40 games per year, including a few RiverCats and now Ports games.

no way!
I was at three games in Anaheim last year, one in each series, and one in Oakland in the second weekend of May. The A's went 0-4. :(
I'm going to the July 18 game in Anaheim and I'm sure I'll hit one in September too. I'm also planning on the August 20 game in Oakland and the last game of the season on October 2 in Seattle.
Otherwise, I saw a 6-1 victory by Barry Zito in Kansas City in 2002 (game 15 of The Streak, I think). I used to live in Connecticut, so there were three or four games in Yankee Stadium from 2000-2003 and one in Boston in August of 2003. It was the game in which Mulder left with his mysterious, season-ending hip injury. Derek Lowe left after seven dominant innings with a blister, and the set-up men walked a couple and gave up a three run homer to Ramon Hernandez over the Green Monster, A's won 3-2.
There were also a handful of games in Oakland over the past few years. I haven't lived in the Bay Area since 1997.

well...
I've seen the A's play in Anaheim before they redid the stadium and in Seattle in the old Kingdome. That's all, but I plan on fixing that soon enough.

Please help disabled kids in Sacramento play baseball by helping the Rivercats build a specially equipped field for them.
