Kenny Rogers gets 20 game suspension

Hmmm, this is great news for us. Kenny is one of their best pitchers and to be out 20 games is a heavy suspension. THe Rangers as we know are not loaded with pitching, so "bring up the meat"!

When do we play the Rangers again? He always gives us fits.......our hitters will be happy.

Can you say 2nd place in the AL West?

does he have to face the suspension immediately?

if so, then he would miss the home series the 14-17th of July... which would be nice...

I'm betting this will get appealed

This is a really really heavy suspension by MLB standards, almost unprecendented in its length (the only longer nondrug related suspension I remember is for Pete Rose bumping an umpire). So Rogers will appeal. The question is wether the appeal is heard before or after we play the Rangers.

Selig called him Mr. Rogers, I've never thought about that being his name before, and yes I am easily amused. :) As for the suspension, he deserves what he gets...

Remember

that Rogers is a pitcher so a 20 game suspension for him is like a 4 game suspension for a position player. Of course, I doubt the PA will see it that way and it will probably be reduced. Too bad.
