It might not be that bad...
I am not exactly happy with how the season has gone so far, but I am not exactly surprised by it either. Beane made deals which he felt would benefit the team over the next few years. He is trying to do this by locking up young talented players. He did the same thing with the likes of Hudson, Mulder etc.
I do not expect the younger players to come out and rack up big numbers at first. It is going to take them a while to adjust. They are professionals and they will probally only get better. We have some good players already in the majors and many more right around the corner.
I know we are 12 games back and last in about every category, but we don't have to give up on this team. I would much rather watch promising young players than some of the sorry players that were here in other "lean" years.
I guess all I am trying to say is...lets see how it all plays out. Maybe these young players might be the next big thing or they might be the next Damon Mashore or Doug Johns. Just don't give up on them just yet.
