Braden wins another in Midland - 5 hits in 7.2IP

Dallas Braden pitched 7 2/3 solid innings of two-run ball as Midland doubled up Frisco, 4-2, on Sunday night at CitiBank Ballpark.

Andre Ethier led the RockHounds offense, going 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, two walks and two runs scored. Francis Gomez had a double and two RBIs. Steve Stanley, Jeremy Brown and Matthew Allegra smacked two hits apiece.

John Danks (1-1) took the loss, giving up four runs and seven hits in five innings. He walked two and fanned one.

Not as strike-happy as Braden's last outing, but yet another tight, low-hitting outing for DB as he continues to show his suitability for a higher level of ball.

Just shows to go you, you can find some real gems in the 24th round of the draft.
